Copper futures fell 0.26% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced positions and weak demand in the domestic market. Analysts cite speculator trimming and muted spot market demand as key factors.
New Delhi, Mar 4 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 865.15 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery eased by Rs 2.25 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 865.15 per kg in a business turnover of 890 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
