Copper futures declined on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to muted demand in the domestic market. Analysts attribute the fall to position trimming by speculators.
New Delhi, Aug 6 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 0.26 per cent to Rs 775.20 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased by Rs 2.05 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 775.20 per kg in a business turnover of 13,455 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
