Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures decline 0.17% to Rs 892/kg on MCX due to reduced positions and muted domestic demand. Analysts cite lower bets.
New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 892 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for September delivery eased Rs 1.50 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 892 per kilogram in a business turnover of 3,025 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
