Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices rose on Monday due to increased demand for cattle feed, leading to fresh positions by speculators on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Mar 17 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday rose by Rs 23 to Rs 2,723 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid higher demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for April delivery traded higher by Rs 23 or 0.84 per cent at Rs 2,723 per quintal with an open interest of 72,250 lots.

Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
