Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand | PTI

Crude oil futures gained Rs 160 to Rs 6,676 per barrel in futures trade on Monday, driven by increased buying amid firm spot demand. Global crude prices also rose.
New Delhi, Jan 13 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday climbed Rs 160 to Rs 6,676 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for February delivery traded higher Rs 160 or 2.46 per cent at Rs 6,676 per barrel in 3,914 lots.

Analysts said the raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 2 per cent higher at USD 78.10 per barrel while Brent crude was trading 1.83 per cent higher at USD 81.22 per barrel in New York.
