New Delhi, Apr 16 (PTI) Indian IT major Infosys on Wednesday announced a partnership with Spark New Zealand, a telecommunications and digital services company, to drive digital transformation and reduce operating costs for Spark.

The partnership will leverage Infosys' AI-first services, including Infosys Topaz and Infosys Cobalt, to enhance Spark's technology delivery model and reduce IT operating costs.

Infosys will provide advanced DevOps and software engineering capabilities to build, test, integrate, and support Spark's systems and applications, according to a company statement.

Matt Bain, Data and Marketing Director at Spark, highlighted the firm's 16-year-old relationship with Infosys and emphasised how this extended partnership will allow Spark to focus on its technology strategy while leveraging Infosys' global scale and AI innovations.

Spark will retain control over its IT architecture, product design, and innovation roadmap.

As part of the agreement, Infosys will also enhance its local workforce to complement its global operations and ensure that critical local support and expertise are retained in New Zealand.
