Uno Minda invests Rs 210 cr in EV casting facility

Uno Minda will invest Rs 210 crore in a new facility for EV casting parts in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, to meet growing OEM demand.

New Delhi, Jun 19 (PTI) Uno Minda on Thursday said it will invest about Rs 210 crore to set up a manufacturing facility of its casting division at Aurangabad in Maharashtra to meet demands for electric vehicle casting parts.

The committee of the board of directors approved the detailed project report for the facility in its meeting held on June 19, 2025.

The facility will cater to the increasing demands of OEMs for casting parts in electric vehicles, the auto components maker said in a regulatory filing.

"The total capital expenditure for this new manufacturing facility is estimated at Rs 210 crore approximately, to be spent in phased manner," it added.

It will be financed through internal accruals and term loan.

The company plans to increase the capacity to 3,629 MT per annum to be added over the next 5 years in a phased manner with phase 1 expected in Q2 of 2026-27.
