Zinc prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries, leading to speculators reducing their exposure.
New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell by 15 paise to Rs 273.90 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded 15 paise or 0.05 per cent lower at Rs 273.90 per kg in 1,866 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
