Zinc prices dropped 1.53% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced speculator interest and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, May 8 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 1.53 per cent to Rs 258.10 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower Rs 4 or 1.53 per cent at Rs 258.10 per kg in 4,072 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
