Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI

Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased demand from consuming industries. Read more on the rise in zinc futures.
New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 45 paise to Rs 232.40 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 45 paise or 0.19 per cent at Rs 232.40 per kg with a business turnover of 5,126 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
