Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand

Zinc prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange driven by increased demand from consuming industries. The July contract closed at Rs 275.35 per kg.
New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.75 to Rs 275.35 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded higher Rs 1.75 or 0.64 per cent at Rs 275.35 per kg with a business turnover of 2,625 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
