Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand

Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries. Learn more about the zinc market.
New Delhi, Oct 16 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 2.75 to Rs 284.35 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 2.75 or 0.98 per cent at Rs 284.35 per kg with a business turnover of 2,379 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
