Copper Futures Decrease Amid Muted Demand on MCX

Copper prices fell in futures trade on MCX due to subdued domestic demand. The August delivery contract slipped, reflecting muted interest from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 13 (PTI) Copper prices fell by Rs 3.60 to Rs 1,371.60 per kilogram in futures trade on Thursday amid muted demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the copper contract for August delivery slipped Rs 3.60, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 1,371.60 per kg in 1,918 lots.

Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on the red metal prices in futures trade.
