Aluminium futures prices fell on Monday due to reduced demand from consuming industries, with participants cutting down their positions.

New Delhi, Feb 19 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday declined Re 1 to Rs 198.05 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February fell Re 1 or 0.5 per cent to Rs 198.05 per kg in 2,812 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
