Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange climbed 0.63% to Rs 232.40 per kg on Thursday, driven by fresh positions from speculators and demand from consuming industries.

New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday climbed 0.63 per cent to Rs 232.40 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for June delivery increased by Rs 1.45 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 232.40 per kg in a business turnover of 2,356 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
