Aluminium prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Friday, driven by fresh positions built up by speculators and demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jan 17 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday rose Rs 1.45 to Rs 253.60 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February increased Rs 1.45 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 253.60 per kg in 1,144 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
