Aluminium Futures Rise on Spot Market Strength

Aluminium futures prices climbed 0.84% on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Friday, driven by fresh positions built by speculators and positive spot market trends.
New Delhi, Aug 9 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday climbed 0.84 per cent to Rs 214.85 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for August delivery increased Rs 1.80 or 0.84 per cent to Rs 214.85 per kg in a business turnover of 4,254 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
