Aluminium futures prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose on Thursday driven by fresh bets from speculators and demand from consuming industries.

New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday rose 0.28 per cent to Rs 233 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for May delivery increased 65 paise or 0.28 per cent to Rs 233 per kg in a business turnover of 3,930 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
