Aluminium Futures Surge on Positive Market Trend

Aluminium futures climbed 1% to Rs 227.70 per kg on Tuesday, driven by speculative buying and positive sentiment in the spot market.
New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Tuesday climbed 1 per cent to Rs 227.70 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for September delivery increased Rs 2.25 or 1 per cent to Rs 227.70 per kg in a business turnover of 1,379 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
