Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange slipped due to weak domestic demand, with analysts citing speculator position trimming as a key factor.
New Delhi, Dec 5 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday declined Rs 4.55 to Rs 715.65 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery eased by Rs 4.55 or 0.63 per cent to Rs 715.65 per kg in a business turnover of 5,191 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
