Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell on Wednesday due to reduced positions and muted demand in the domestic market. Analysts cite speculator activity and weak spot demand as key factors.
New Delhi, Feb 12 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.07 per cent to Rs 855.80 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery eased by 60 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 855.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,035 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
