Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand in India
Copper futures prices in India fell on Wednesday due to weak demand in the domestic market, with participants reducing their positions. Analysts attributed the decline to muted spot market demand and trimming of positions by speculators.
New Delhi, Mar 26 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.28 per cent to Rs 914.40 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery eased by Rs 2.55 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 914.40 per kg in a business turnover of 8,731 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
