Copper futures fell on Wednesday due to muted demand in the domestic market, according to the Press Trust of India. Participants trimmed their positions, leading to a decline in prices.
New Delhi, Feb 28 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell Rs 3.65 to Rs 723.25 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery eased Rs 3.65 or 0.5 per cent to Rs 723.25 per kg in a business turnover of 3,956 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
