Copper futures fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to muted demand in the domestic market. Speculators cut their positions, leading to a decline in prices.
New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday fell 45 paise to Rs 734.25 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for January delivery eased by 45 paise or 0.06 per cent to Rs 734.25 per kg in a business turnover of 5,041 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
