Copper futures fell on Friday due to muted demand in the domestic market, with analysts attributing the decline to position trimming by speculators.
New Delhi, Feb 23 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday fell Rs 1.85 to Rs 731.40 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery eased Rs 1.85 paise or 0.02 per cent to Rs 731.40 per kg in a business turnover of 3,921 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
