Copper futures fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to muted demand and profit-taking by traders. The February contract closed at Rs 727.20 per kg.
New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Copper futures on Thursday marginally fell Rs 6.05 to Rs 727.20 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery eased by Rs 6.05 or 0.83 per cent to Rs 727.20 per kg in a business turnover of 4,548 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
