Copper Futures Slip on Muted Demand - PTI
Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell on Friday due to muted demand in the domestic market, with analysts citing trimming of positions by speculators.
New Delhi, Feb 9 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday marginally fell Rs 1.45 to Rs 704.80 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery eased by Rs 1.45 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 704.80 per kg in a business turnover of 6,415 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
