Coriander futures prices rose on Friday due to increased demand and firm spot market trends. Speculators drove prices up to Rs 8,000 per quintal.
New Delhi, Mar 1 (PTI) Coriander prices on Friday rose Rs 50 to Rs 8,000 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 50 or 0.63 per cent at Rs 8,000 per quintal with an open interest of 21,290 lots.

A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, market analysts said.
