Cottonseed oil cake futures prices surged on Wednesday due to increased demand for cattle feed and fresh positions taken by speculators.
New Delhi, Dec 6 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday rose Rs 38 to Rs 2,897 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery traded higher by Rs 38 or 1.31 per cent at Rs 2,897 per quintal with an open interest of 38,000 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
