Cottonseed oil cake futures surged on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) due to increased demand for cattle feed, pushing prices up by Rs 4 to Rs 2,624 per quintal.
New Delhi, Apr 3 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday rose Rs 4 to Rs 2,624 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for April delivery traded higher Rs 4 or 0.15 per cent at Rs 2,624 per quintal with an open interest of 53,170 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
