Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures rose on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to increased demand for cattle feed, prompting speculators to create new positions.
New Delhi, Aug 20 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday rose Rs 23 to Rs 3,288 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery traded higher by Rs 23 or 0.70 per cent at Rs 3,288 per quintal with an open interest of 29,210 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
