Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Crude oil futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose Rs 33 to Rs 5,968 per barrel on Thursday, driven by firm spot demand and increased bets from participants. Global crude prices also saw gains.

New Delhi, Oct 3 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Thursday increased Rs 33 to Rs 5,968 per barrel in futures trade as participants widened their positions following a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for October delivery traded higher by Rs 33 or 0.56 per cent at Rs 5,968 per barrel in 5,124 lots.

Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 1.31 per cent higher at USD 71.02 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading 1.22 per cent up at USD 74.80 per barrel in New York.
