Gold prices dropped Rs 4 to Rs 62,601 per 10 grams in futures trade due to reduced speculative positions. Global gold prices also fell slightly.

New Delhi, Nov 30 (PTI) Gold price on Thursday fell Rs 4 to Rs 62,601 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for December delivery traded marginally lower by Rs 4 or 0.01 per cent at Rs 62,601 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 199 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to the trimming of positions by participants.

Globally, gold was trading 0.10 per cent lower at USD 2,065 per ounce in New York.
