Gold prices declined Rs 85 to Rs 61,900 per 10 grams in futures trade on Thursday as speculators reduced their positions, driven by weak global cues.

New Delhi, Jan 25 (PTI) Gold prices on Thursday declined Rs 85 to Rs 61,900 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for February delivery traded lower Rs 85 or 0.14 per cent at Rs 61,900 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 4,753 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues.

Globally, gold was trading 0.06 per cent lower at USD 2,033.90 per ounce in New York.
