Guar Gum Futures Drop on Weak Demand
Guar gum futures prices fell on Thursday due to low demand and ample supply. Traders offloaded holdings, pushing prices down to Rs 10,708 per five quintals.
New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday dropped Rs 66 to Rs 10,708 per five quintals in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for May delivery fell Rs 66 or 0.62 per cent to Rs 10,708 per five quintals in 12,860 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
