Guar Gum Futures Fall on Weak Demand
Guar gum futures prices dropped on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to weak demand and ample supplies. Traders offloaded holdings, leading to a decline in prices.
New Delhi, Dec 16 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 69 to Rs 9,969 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for January delivery fell Rs 69 or 0.69 per cent to Rs 9,969 per quintal in 55,350 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
