Guar Gum Futures Plunge on Low Demand
Guar gum futures prices fell on Monday due to weak demand and ample supplies in the spot market. Traders offloaded their holdings, leading to a decline of Rs 245 per quintal.
New Delhi, Jan 6 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 245 to Rs 10,573 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for February delivery fell Rs 245 or 2.32 per cent to Rs 10,573 per quintal in 40,570 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
