Guar Gum Futures Plunge on Weak Demand
Guar gum futures declined on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) due to weak demand and ample supplies in the spot market.
New Delhi, Dec 9 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 120 to Rs 10,148 per quintal in the futures market, as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for December delivery fell Rs 120 or 1.18 per cent to Rs 10,148 per quintal in 16,445 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
