Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI

Guar gum futures prices rose on Thursday due to strong demand and increased speculation. Prices on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange closed at Rs 10,583 per five quintals.
New Delhi, Jun 13 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday increased Rs 181 to Rs 10,583 per five quintals in futures trade, as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for July delivery traded higher Rs 181 or 1.71 per cent at Rs 10,583 per five quintals with an open interest of 46,600 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
