Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Guar gum futures prices rose on Friday due to increased speculation and firm spot demand. The September contract on the NCDEX traded higher at Rs 10,125 per quintal.
New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday increased Rs 15 to Rs 10,125 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 15 or 0.15 per cent at Rs 10,125 per quintal with an open interest of 41,530 lots.

Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
