Guar Seed Futures Decline: Ample Supplies Push Prices Down

Guar seed futures prices fell on Wednesday due to increased supply from producing regions. The decline was attributed to ample availability in the market.
New Delhi, Jan 3 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Wednesday declined Rs 94 to Rs 5,359 per 10 quintals in the futures trade amid an increase in supply from producing regions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for January delivery plummeted Rs 94 or 1.75 per cent to Rs 5,359 per 10 quintals with an open interest of 41,150 lots.
Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
