Guar Seed Futures Drop on Increased Supplies

Guar seed futures declined on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to ample supplies from producing regions. The September contract fell by Rs 42 to Rs 5,196 per quintal.
New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Monday declined Rs 42 to Rs 5,196 per quintal in the futures trade amid an increase in supply from producing regions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for September delivery fell Rs 42 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 5,196 per quintal with an open interest of 48,630 lots.
Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed prices to increasing supplies from growing regions.
