Guar Seed Futures Plunge on Weak Demand
Guar seed futures prices dropped on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to weak demand and ample supply in the spot market.
New Delhi, Sep 9 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Monday dropped Rs 75 to Rs 5,417 per five quintals in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed for October delivery fell Rs 75 or 1.38 per cent to Rs 5,417 per five quintals in 37,245 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar seed prices.
