Guar Seed Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Guar seed prices rose in futures trade on Thursday, driven by strong spot demand and thin supplies. Speculators raised bets, leading to a 1.24% increase in prices.
New Delhi, Jun 13 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday rose Rs 67 to Rs 5,399 per 10 quintals in futures trade after speculators widened their positions following a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery rose Rs 67 or 1.24 per cent to Rs 5,399 per 10 quintals with an open interest of 52,715 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raised bets, tracking a firm trend in the spot market and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
