Guar Seed Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Guar seed futures prices gained on Thursday, rising Rs 17 to Rs 5,222 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange. The increase was attributed to firm spot market trends and speculative activity.
New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Thursday rose Rs 17 to Rs 5,222 per quintal in the futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for December delivery increased Rs 17 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 5,222 per quintal with an open interest of 36,655 lots.
According to marketmen, speculators raising bets, a firm trend in the spot market and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
