Silver Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices in India surged on Friday due to strong spot demand, with December futures contracts gaining Rs 180 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange. Global silver prices also saw an increase.
New Delhi, Sep 20 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 180 to Rs 90,148 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery increased Rs 180 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 90,148 per kg in 25,046 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.17 per cent higher at USD 31.48 per ounce in New York.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery increased Rs 180 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 90,148 per kg in 25,046 lots.
