Silver Futures Surge on Spot Demand - PTI

Silver prices climbed on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand, driven by a positive domestic trend. Global silver prices also saw a slight increase.
New Delhi, Dec 27 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday rose Rs 152 to Rs 75,178 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 152 or 0.2 per cent to Rs 75,178 per kg in 14,864 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.06 per cent higher at USD 24.41 per ounce in New York.
