Silver Futures Surge on Spot Demand - PTI
New Delhi, May 9 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday climbed Rs 444 to Rs 83,438 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery increased Rs 444 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 83,438 per kg in 26,382 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading higher 0.81 per cent at USD 27.83 per ounce in New York.
