Silver futures prices jumped on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased demand and positive domestic trends. Global silver prices also rose.
Silver Futures Surge on Strong Spot Demand
New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) Silver prices on Thursday jumped Rs 568 to Rs 92,510 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery increased Rs 568 or 0.62 per cent to Rs 92,510 per kg in 23,258 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 1.22 per cent higher at USD 30.71 per ounce in New York.
