Silver Futures Surge: Prices Jump Rs 1,046/kg - MCX

Silver prices rallied on the MCX, driven by increased bets from participants. May contracts closed at Rs 89,790/kg, up 1.18%. Global silver also saw gains.

New Delhi, Apr 9 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday bounced Rs 1,046 to Rs 89,790 per kilogram in futures trade as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery rose Rs 1,046 or 1.18 per cent to Rs 89,790 per kg in a business turnover of 22,467 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 1.31 per cent higher at USD 30.19 per ounce in New York.
